Mars imaged by the DDOD on August 20, 2020 when it was 82 million km away. It will be 20 million km closer by October.

Mars will be at its closest to Earth in October, giving us our best telescopic view of the planet since its historic closest approach in 2003. Mars won’t be this close again till 2035! So don’t miss our upcoming “Mars Madness” event, with talks, discussions, activities and live online viewing starting October 3rd, 2020. Attendance at this event will be via video conferencing which will allow participants to interact virtually with the presenters and ask questions.

This event will be held on Oct 3rd, Oct 4th, Oct 5th & Oct 6th. Please follow the links to register.
